My Stomach Became A Minefield

I’m currently at my 7 week mark, hooray! I’ve come to believe that the symptoms of early pregnancy really tests your patience and perseverance. I must say the heavens have a subtle way of pushing mothers-to-be to buckle up and be ready for the real ride 9 months down the road!

From the beginning of last week, I’ve been struggling with Morning Sickness. Boy, was I so deceived by that term ‘Morning’. To be more exact, it should be called the ‘Forever-Lingering-Nausea-cum-Forever-Hungry-Bear’ Sickness. Basically, if I don’t eat, I feel nauseous. And if I eat, I feel nauseous too. Sigh, what a dilemma! I have huge cravings for spicy and sour stuffs but I know I can’t have them in huge quantities (and I know I don’t like the diarrhoea that follows too). To curb the nauseating feeling, I’ve began to buy orange juice and yakult too. But my stomach never seems to be settled at all. It’s either too bloated or too hungry. How ah?

I’m missing those stretches and long walks and  I’m definitely thinking of hopping right back to light exercises on my 12th week. I do hope these morning sickness issues stop by then. Baby, be good and help your mummy here get fit k:)
